1. Bare Wire and Bare Conductor Products
The main features of these products include: pure conductive metals, with no insulation or sheathing—examples include steel-cored aluminum stranded wires, copper-aluminum busbars, and electric locomotive cables. The primary manufacturing processes involve pressure-based techniques such as melting, rolling, drawing, twisting, and compression-twisting. These products are mainly used in suburban areas, rural regions, user main lines, switchgear cabinets, and similar applications.
2. Power cables
The key features of these products include: extruding (or wrapping) an insulating layer around the conductor—such as in overhead insulated cables—or twisting multiple cores together (corresponding to phase, neutral, and ground wires in power systems), as seen in overhead insulated cables with two or more cores. Alternatively, they may incorporate an additional protective sheath, like plastic or rubber-coated wire and cable assemblies. The primary manufacturing processes involve techniques such as drawing, stranding, insulation extrusion (or wrapping), cable shaping, armor plating, and sheath extrusion. The specific combination of these processes varies depending on the product type. These products are primarily used for transmitting high-voltage electrical energy in applications like power generation, distribution, transmission, substation operations, and power supply lines. They carry substantial currents—ranging from tens to thousands of amperes—and operate at elevated voltages, typically between 220V and 500kV or higher.
3. Electrical wires and cables for use in electrical equipment
The key features of these products include a wide variety of specifications, broad application ranges, and widespread use at voltages below 1 kV. In response to specialized applications, new product lines continue to emerge—such as fire-resistant cables, flame-retardant cables, low-smoke halogen-free/low-smoke non-halogen cables, termite-proof cables, rodent-resistant cables, oil-resistant/cold-resistant/temperature-resistant/wear-resistant cables, as well as medical, agricultural, and mining-specific cables, and even thin-wall wires.
4. Communication Cables and Fiber Optics
Over the past two decades, with the rapid advancement of the telecommunications industry, Yunnan cable manufacturers have witnessed their products evolving at an astonishing pace. From the simple telephone and telegraph cables of the past to today’s sophisticated offerings—ranging from thousands of pairs of telephone cables, coaxial cables, optical fibers, and data cables, to even integrated communication cables—these products are typically compact, feature uniform structural dimensions, and demand high manufacturing precision.
5. Electromagnetic Wire (Winding Wire)
Primarily used in various types of motors, instruments, and meters, among others.
